Meeting online date

I've been chatting to someone online and it's going okay so I'd like to meet up and see who I'm talking to.
Obviously no physical contact because of Covid... What's allowed under the regulations for meeting someone new? If we go for dinner we'd be within 2 metres and not wearing masks.

Assuming you are not in a local lockdown area you can meet someone inside. If you're going for a drink or meal you can remove masks once seated.
You could alternatively meet outside for a walk or activity to get to know each other a bit. Depends how you feel about them.

I would probably make it clear to them in advance what your personal expectations are with regards Covid. There are plenty of people out there who are happy to, for example break the 2m rule. Have a chat with them first so you both know what you're comfortable with.

Whatever you feel comfortable with.

Maybe an outside walk on the first date (to see if he's worth the risk of an inside date for date two lol).

Whilst walking side by side it is easy to squeeze his shoulder to show affection at the relevant times (eg: if he says something that makes you laugh). Accross a table you can pat his arm.

Take handgel. And maybe some drinks or snacks for the walk. Ibthibk sharing things helps create a bond (as long as you dont end up sharing covid lol).

*oh and maybe dont drink. I find all rules you set for yourself have a tendency to go outa the window half a bottle of wine into the evening xD
