First Date Nerves

I’m currently on the bus going to a first date with a guy I met on tinder. I’m freaking out with all the usual first date nerves so if anyone has any good first date tips- hit me with your best ones! Feels like I haven’t dated in ages 😂

How old are you op? Try and calm down as it might come across badly and change who you are. Be interesting and interested but don't share too much. Keep something back. And don't DTD.

I'm sure it'll give you a confidence boost. Hope it goes well.

Ahhhh I love the early dating stage!! Just try and enjoy it! Don't be afraid to admit your nervous if there's a silence! What are you doing on the date?

SimonJT · 06/09/2020 17:05

Ah, I’m sure you’ll be okay. I have only ever been on one first proper first date, I was crapping myself and had the worlds driest mouth for the first 20-30 minutes.

I would say try to speak slowly, try to take in what the other person is saying, nerves at the start can make those two things difficult.

How was it OP?

xvioletx · 09/09/2020 21:32

@DontInjectBleach it went well thanks! We’re grabbing food again on Friday 😊

That would have to be takeaway food if in England 😭. My dating attempts have been ruined by covid. Went quite well but momentum will be gone as can't legally meet up anymore. Will have to channel my focus into other things in life.

I know the rules are complicated but surely 2 households can meet in a restaurant in England? Sorry to derail in such a boring way.

EssenceAbsolue · 09/09/2020 23:20

Opentooffers restaurants are open in England and people are allowed to meet up for dining out
