I quite often used to use one of those regularly when I was suffering with IBS (constipation sub type) before my food allergies and intolerances around peas and onions were diagnosed last year after waiting for a referral from the doctors for eighteen months. If you mix warm water with a little coffee you can basically give yourself a coffee enema and I believe the caffeine stimulates the bowel which then produces a movement in due course, or at least it worked that way for me.

If you get to 55 you get an NHS one because they offer you a bowel cancer check and you have to give yourself an enema beforehand. Easier than you might think, tbh though it’s hard to tell how much tube has gone in.

@BubblyBarbara Wanging a pint or two up your bum stimulates the bowel to move, the coffee is just trendy nonsense. You'd likely get more effect by drinking the coffee and just putting the water up you.

I always thought putting anything UP your bum was dangerous incl colonic irrigation as it can a)perforate the bowel and b) if you do it a lot you can get a dodgy anal spincter.

You'd have to put something quite far up to do real damage. Most people's arseholes are quite flexible and stretch a lot. With practice people can fit all sorts up there... Johnson keeps his head up his.
