Why do men send photos?

I do know they expect you to reciprocate and I don’t mean inappropriate photos as such. I’m not a bore and I’m 22, so familiar with the photo culture. But I find it really odd that even when you communicate with a man for work, he feels compelled to first make a video call (but, fine, in business it’s important to put a face to a name), and then send you a selfie. I get the bit where he thinks I’ll reciprocate, but this is a third guy randomly doing this in two months. What is it? Narcissism? He likes to look at himself? I’d rather shoot myself than send anyone a selfie...

He fancies you and, because he's obviously a catch Hmm he is seeing a 'connection'.

Men are very visually stimulated, much more than women, so photos / videos... you get the idea. So he thinks you love his selfies because... duh... you fancy him & the photo will turn you on.

Bless him. Just back away gently, drop a boyfriends name, and dont reciprocate. Unless you fancy him, of course.

They are trying to flirt, and using any form of contact as an excuse for doing so. If accused of trying to flirt, they will deny it and claim its just standard work practice. Which clearly it is not.

Any form of contact -- has anyone been subjected to the barrage of FB friend requests and strangers liking their (limited) photos lately? I've had to completely close down the security on my page.

What about 'I think you meant to send me an office picture but your camera is facing the wrong way?''
