Are you truely happy and in love

Just that really. How many people in long term relationships/marriages feel truely happy in the relationship and feel in love with the other half? Is it actually possible?

I've been with my husband for 27 years, married 24.

We have had loads of ups and downs throughout the years. If you had asked him if he was happy back in 2003, 2010 or 2015, he would have said, "no". If you had asked me if I was happy in 1998, 2004, or 2017, I would have said, "no". Obviously, I think the key to staying together is not to be unhappy at the same time!

We aren't blissfully happy but we've hit a nice stride and are understanding each other better and have more confidence in our longevity and to me, that's a nice happy feeling.

Been together 9 years so not as long as some other posters. I would lie if I say that it’s always perfect and that sometimes when he really annoys me I don’t ask myself why I am still bothering. However, majority of our time together we are a great team and are very happy together and often when I look at him I’m like “gosh, love him so much”.

Very much so, but we’ve only been together 3.5 years :)

Yes, 16 years in and think the world of each other. It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, it takes work but we are a great team and really soppy about each other.
