Broken condom, morning after pill needed?

electricstorm · 14/08/2020 23:03

The condom broke during sex and I'm just wondering whether I need to go get the morning after pill or not. I am currently on my period so as far as I know it wouldn't matter anyway but just looking for some advice.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place

Yes, you need it.

sitckmansladylove · 14/08/2020 23:05

I would. Better to be safe.

pinkcattydude · 14/08/2020 23:06

If it wouldn’t be the end of the world you don’t need it. You can never be 100% certain when you ovulate although people can track etc there’s always the 1%.

Aquamarine1029 · 14/08/2020 23:07

I wouldn't be wasting time asking, I would be getting the pill.

thatplaceinjordan · 14/08/2020 23:12

I would get it.
Incidentally there was an alert on some durex batches as they were breaking easily a while back. I had two break and had to take the MAP- not had to do that in 15 years of condom use before

electricstorm · 14/08/2020 23:13

Yeah I'm going to go first thing in the morning

Can you only tell it's broken after the deed has been done?! Never had this happen.
