Secretly preparing for separation / divorce

NC for this as I have posted previously about issues between DH and I and do not want to be outed.

I am secretly making moves to prepare for separation. I am aiming to be separated in the next 18 months.

Our finances are completely joined so I have slowly started to separate them , luckily I deal with all of the household bills etc so this will be easy to do undetected .

Practically I think it will be easier to prepare for. I know that I will not be very emotionally prepared even though I am making the decision to leave . We have 3 dc and it will be a terribly tough time for us all and DH will not react well . I would like an amicable and mature split but I know that this is unlikely.

Can anyone who has split and managed to keep things civil offer advice ?

Very rarely is a divorce civil. Some manage it later when the emotion dies down but be prepared
