Cam Girl Addiction.

I met and got together with someone 2 and a half years ago, we have now broken up but as we live very close to each other we see each other all the time and things have turned pretty horrible.

My ex has an addiction to watching cam girls online, he says he doesn't pay for them which makes it okay. I have gone from trying to be understanding about this to being completely disgusted and alarmed. He has been around my 12 year old since we got together and although I'm 100% sure he has not touched her I worry about how he has been looking at her, I worry about how young the girls he watches are, when I raised this with him he spent 3 hours telling me I'm cuckoo and la-la and insinuating in various ways that I'm crazy for even being concerned about this.

I would be interested to know the general opinion about this kind of thing from my fellow Mum peers.

I don’t think they do it for free, why would they?

I wouldn’t really want this in a partner tbh.

Sorry, I posted too soon.

If you have any doubts AT ALL regarding your DD then I would see that as the end. No way would I want a man with a penchant for very young women anywhere near my DD.

Hope you’re ok. Horrible thing to discover.

I highly doubt he's found cam girls working for free. Why would they do that for free?

There are plenty of women doing free Webcam work who earn by picking up tips from viewers.

I'm not sure why you think a man watching adults doing something perfectly legal implies he's a risk to your daughter, but if you are separated now surely it's irrelevant in any case?

Thingsdogetbetter · 30/07/2020 20:16

Underage cam girls are obviously illegal. You'd have to go very very dark web for something like that!

Some sites you can view 'shows' for free or a small subscription (It's like advertising), but to interact or make requests you pay big time.

If he's been using regular cam 'girl' sites he has not been viewing children or teens. There is nothing to suggest he has an interest in young teens.

It is free. Extras are chargeable like private shows. It’s basically normal porn when watching for free as you cant speak to them.

A grown man watching adult women do porn does not make him a pedophile. That’s quite a jump.

Much as I really don't like the idea of cam girls. I'm not sure you can equate his behaviour with being a paedophile. Which is basically what you are saying regarding your daughter. If he's an ex I think you need to distance from him. I understand that you might see I'm around but do you need to still have this type of conversation? What is it bringing to your life?
