Ideas on something different and nice to do for DH tonight

Recently DH has been having a hard time at work. Just before lockdown his mode of transport was stolen out of our drive and he now has to bike to work 14 miles every day all in all he’s exhausted. We both get up at 5am for work and we are always in bed for 9pm because we are knackered. I cook a nice meal every evening for us so cooking a slap up meal isn’t really anything new. Plus neither of us really like Take-out so that’s out of the question too. I can’t see us wanting to go anywhere after work either. I just want to do something nice and put a smile back on his face. Reconnect and spend some quality time with him. So wise women on MN hit me up with your ideas as I’m at a loss! Thanks 🙏🏻

@Ginnyrellas

I'm assuming his vehicle was insured and the claim is going through well? If/when you invest in a new one consider a steering wheel lock or wheel clamp so thieves move on to something easier. And of course consider an RFID key pouch if necessary.

Apart from that, what small things would you and your DH like? A scented bath? Foot or shoulder massages? Relaxed pyjama weekend with no chores/watch a great film on Netflix, etc whilst cuddling on the sofa?

Take the stress off yourselves - and don't see anyone you'd prefer it to at the weekend... 🌹

Wear something sexy and have some fun tonight? Maybe send him some sexy texts throughout the day to get him excited about tonight?

Get a bottle of wine/whatever the drink of preference is.
Have him a bath run for when he gets in, and give him a massage... Then both mutually have some grown up fun.

14 miles a day is gonna be giving him some aches, the bath and massage will get him all nice and relaxed.

I do like the idea of running him a bath and him just relaxing in it. Plus the adult fun! If we have the energy 😂. Our weekends recently have been taken up socialising and making up for lost time with our loved ones. I have got to say I am thinking of cancelling our plans this weekend and staying in the house but the weather is set to be beautiful
