We're going through some difficult times in our marriage. Lots of difficult things happening at once, we both have anxiety & we're not handling it very well. I'm terrified that we're permanently broken, & I feel sick all the time. I can be quite fatalistic, so I don't want to get carried away with such dark thoughts. I want us to get through it.

Please can I have some reassurances that bad spells can just be temporary.

Thank you

Of course they can be temporary. Have you tried sitting down at a quiet time, perhaps enjoying a drink together, and having a deep conversation about what is bothering each of you and how you can work together to find solutions? No fighting, no accusing the other. Nothing can move forward if you can't communicate.
