Three things a man looks for in a relationship?

Ok, apologies - this is totally based on the other thread about what women look for in a man but I am intrigued now....

If you have a male knocking around the place could you please ask him what three things he looks for in a partner ( immediate response, no deliberation allowed!) and also could you put his age bracket too please and if in a long term relationship (as I wonder if age and relationship status will affect the responses given?)

Just asked DH - he is 50-55, married 20 years he said::

1. Caring
2. Intelligence
3. Naturally sexy

I think dh (33, together 12 years) would just take someone who didn’t snore at this stage.

I asked my DH (29). He said trust, companionship where someone is your best friend and sexual attraction.

My late DH and i had this conversation weirdly, if I can remember correctly he said he valued honesty, fidelity and kindness. He espoused all of these values himself so it made sense that he would expect similar. He had been hurt before by a cheating ex.

I know all men are different yada yada yada ... but I think by and large good looks have a mahajor part to play for a lot of men, way way more than women care about looks.

Some men wouldn’t admit to that but I’ve a lot of brothers & male mates and it’s astounding to me what they’ll overlook in a good-looking woman that they wouldn’t in a less good-looking woman.

DH says "lots of loving, lots of laughs and lots of loyalty"
That is after 30 years of marriage.

Money, company, independence

This amazes me as (I’m divorced) the women I observe who stay married all seem to be hard work. Not you lot, but women I know. I’ve formed the impression men prefer being told what to do. I may be looking at the wrong partnerships though!

In the olden days, men looked for a woman who wasn't bad looking,, could cook a good hearty meal each day, didn't nag him, and had good child bearing hips. ha ha,, but true.

DH (early fifties, been together 15 years) says:

Trust and loyalty
Feeling loved by the person
Good company (i.e. intelligence, humour, companionship)
