Are you having fun?

So what does fun looks like in your relationship?
I don't mean what fun things you like doing as an individual or what simply makes you happy about your partner, but rather what specifically in the relationship inject fun and joyful things into your life?

No money, so we have to be inventive. Singing competitions...we challenge each other to a song usually very cheesy (Delilah) or very difficult (Born Slippy), put on the backing track and really go for it. We also watch Most Haunted back to back with many snacks and try to predict the names the ‘psychic’ will come up with. On the same track, made up ghost stories in the dark with a few flickering candles and Dp is trying to teach me to run whilst I teach him Yoga. It’s fun because we are so bad at it!

And cooking together. The homemade burgers were incredible, the pancakes an unmitigated disaster. .

PawPatrolMakesMeDrink · 09/07/2020 07:07

We play board games and card games quite a lot, several times a week, we’re both quite competitive so we enjoy trying to beat each other.
We’d got stuck in a rut watching telly/playing with our phone on an evening and not really talking as much as we did.
Doing an activity together seems to have fixed this.
I also like to hide and scare him.

Hedgehog44 · 09/07/2020 07:09

I don't know but we just laugh together a lot. He is always silly and we just have a giggle.

ErickBroch · 09/07/2020 08:54

We laugh all day every day - both have the same, stupid sense of humour. Always singing badly, doing weird dance moves, just... lots of silly things that make us both laugh.

TwentyViginti · 09/07/2020 09:00

Weetabixandcrumpets I learned Born Slippy off by heart as a challenge to myself Grin

Weetabixandcrumpets · 09/07/2020 17:48

@TwentyViginti Grin Brilliant!

@PawPatrolMakesMeDrink 'I also like to hide and scare him' ...I am so going to do that!

amillionwishes · 09/07/2020 19:15

Board games, mario kart/street fighter/some other 2 player game we can get very competitive over 😂 we talk... a lot, listen to music and play guess the year or how many weeks at no1

We did a lot of challenge style zoom meet ups with friends over lockdown which were incredibly fun, if only we all had the time to continue it now we're back to work!

lookatmememe · 09/07/2020 19:19

I passed out in the shower this morning, DH has to get me out, naked and slippery wet and get me onto the bed, we laughed about it after, but really just glad he was there otherwise I might have drowned!

missmouse101 · 09/07/2020 19:22

Nothing sadly. We are barely functioning as a couple.

HatRack · 09/07/2020 19:45

Playing pokemon go, watching YouTube together, lamenting over the kids, sex, going to the pub together, laughing at farts

AnneLovesGilbert · 09/07/2020 19:47

Cooking, eating, playing with DD, talking about books, find, tv, telling stupid jokes, sex, making plans, we laugh a lot, about all sorts of things.

AnneLovesGilbert · 09/07/2020 19:48

Hope you’re okay now @lookatmememe!
