4th wedding anniversary gift idea

It's our 4th wedding anniversary soon, and I just don't know what to buy DH....I'm crap at buying gifts or making anything look nice. We can't go anywhere this year because we still self isolating. Also his birthday is a couple weeks after so want to make a bit of effort without spending too much. Apparently 'fruit and flowers' is this years theme, so I was thinking of buying a chocolate covered fruit box (not just strawberries) or a chocolate fondue box with fruit, waffles marshmallows etc. Is that too basic? If not, then any ideas where I can buy these boxes ready made online (so they would look far more presentable than anything I could put together )? x

Are wedding anniversary gifts a thing? We generally just go out for a really nice meal.

I bought my husband a chocolate fondue. I’ve used it more than him

Fruit and flowers is the US traditional gift (according to Wikipedia), if that makes any difference. Hotel chocolat did a dipping adventure which has the chocolate pots, some savoury bits and isn’t a permanent fondue set. You would just need to add fresh fruit.

The UK version is silk or linen. We had our fourth anniversary earlier this year and considered doing that one because there’s not much else we wanted. We thought of buying some new bedding as we were redecorating anyway. The modern version is appliances so you can also look at something in there. Our main present was going to be our holiday that got cancelled so on reflection I don’t think we’ve got each other an anniversary present this year. Although, we did buy new curtains and carpets so maybe that counts 🤷‍♀️

Failing that I’d buy him something he’d like and get rid of the traditional gifts - it becomes increasingly hard to find suitable gifts.

Thanks ladies! Problem I have with my DH is that he is a techy and into gadgets so that would be ideal gift for him but I have no idea how to choose that stuff and would end up getting him something he'd prob have to return or not use. Tried to hint at us stopping giving gifts and just going out but he thinks we should keep this up. I know I should be grateful! I'm going to have a look for a fondue. He loves chocolate and I'm always nagging him to eat more fruit so should be a good combo I think
