Oversharing on facebook

Every day through lockdown my friends has put over 50+ photos of her daughter on Facebook with an essay of what they have done minute by minute.
Am i the only one that finds this too much and a bit smug while others are struggling during this pandemic?

On most social media you can 'mute' people. I mute people that annoy me and therefore, don't have to see what they post.

Everyone does a different thing to express themselves a guess. I have a friend who does that sort of thing each day but only a few times.

Another friend I think has some sort of undiagnosed thing, learning disability etc. She constantly posts pics from a couple of years ago of her little boy, but in a kind of weird way. Hard to describe.

Does she have a lot of family on there?

Lulabellas · 07/07/2020 13:15

Yes she does have family on there. I think its the false perfect life she portrays that annoys me, every day is wonderful this, wonderful that and we all know not every day is perfect! Find it very odd

@Lulabellas to be honest she's probably sharing more to update her family. If you don't like it you can mute her

I am friends with someone on FB who does similar. Posts photos pretty much every day of everything her little darling has been doing and how wonderful it is. I mostly laugh to myself and wonder what the little darling will think when she's older and sees all the oversharing posts.

I'm not a big user of FB though.

Maybe she's using it as a diary so that "memories" pop up to remind her of previous years?
