Has anyone used Bumble or similar to meet new friends? I'm not looking to date at the moment but would still like to increase my social circle.

There's no-one I could make friends with at work sadly (tiny company) and I don't really have any hobbies I could make friends at (I will look into this too after lockdown).

I do have friends but it would be good to meet people in a similar situation to me, i.e. single with shared care of DC

I used Bumble BFF and would again. I've made some really good friends on it! So glad I didn't let other people telling me it was weird to use Bumble for friendship put me off. I'd also recommend meetup, I met some lovely people using that app as well.
Just fyi, it can be a bit awkward to actually meet friends in person on Bumble so I'd suggest biting the bullet and asking to go for coffee or to the cinema etc or you might find yourself just chatting for weeks and weeks, which is great if you want a pen pal but not if you don't!

Thanks for the advice. I've used Meet Up previously and went to an event before lockdown. There aren't a huge number of groups in my area though so thought I'd try other things too
