How to trust someone new after cheating partner

Just that really! When your ex has cheated and lied, how are you able to trust a new partner ?

It is very hard. I felt it was easier at the start of my new relationship until I had strong feelings then the doubts crept in.
I always said ex would never cheat on me but I do truly believe that dp would never put me through that again, he’s seen the damage it’s done and has in some ways mended it himself, so I just have to remind myself that I have got a good one this time. Otherwise what’s the alternative, ex will continue to mess my life up again and I refuse to allow that.
