I'm keen to begin dating using Hinge/Bumble looking for a relationship. When do people think it would be a good time to sign up to these apps considering the current restrictions with meeting up with people in England and whether the current circumstances are likely to mean people are more or less likely to be using these apps for a relationship rather than a hook up. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I mean unless you want to meet someone straight away. But whilst we’re still coming out of lockdown, you could start the process and get the call rolling.

I went on a socially distanced date last Friday.

I was talking to someone all of April and May and we met up socially distantly when the restrictions lifted

I matched with someone on tinder during lockdown. We messaged until we were able to go on a socially distanced walk, then as soon as we could bubble we did. It's been the best dating experience of my life - we had time to get to really know each other and all the decision making was removed. We could only go for a walk, so the only decision was when. No point in shaving my legs or worrying about whether my underwear matched. Subsequent dates happened from 2m in his garden. No awkwardness about whether he was going to make a move at the end of the night. By the time we were allowed to bubble up it was very clear that we wanted to kiss each other so wasn't at all awkward. We are only a couple of months in but it's all very positive, we've booked a weekend away for my birthday in November. I wouldn't usually feel like I know someone well enough to commit that far ahead after just 2 months but because we have just talked so much it feels different.

So basically I'm saying sign up now and get chatting! I know some people are all about meeting quickly but for me the exact opposite was true.
