A friend of mine has had some trouble in her relationship. Married 22 years, 3 older dc (20, 19 and 18) a 9 year old and a 1 year old. She put her dh out last year but has taken him back, he begged her to. Today she was nearly in tears about him, he's got a hernia with operation date 26th October and he's driving her mad thinking he has cancer, weighing himself constantly to see if he is really ill and loosing weight. She wants to send him back to his mother and she can't stand it much longer, all his moaning and talk of dying.

I can listen to her but I can never think of any good advice. On here there are so many good ideas for all kinds of problems. What sould I say to her, wish I could send her on here but she's German.

Aren't there any German versions of Mumsnet?
Must be I would have thought. Or what about finding some of the german speakers on here?

I think she just wants you to listen and agree with you.

I also thinks she wants me to listen but I feel as if she wants more of a comment than I give. Does it sound as if her dh is depressed? I'll have to ask her if she knows any websites.
