I get along very well with my husband's 1st wife, I really like her. For context I am not the OW and they were separated but not divorced when I met my now husband. She has never ever been a problem in our relationship or caused problems re their children.
I know that there have been some horror stories about exes on MN and they seem to be the norm. Is there anyone else like me?

No but I really really wish I was! I tried so hard to make it work, it would have been so much easier for everyone but mainly the kids. Well done to you both. How long are you with your husband and how long are they broken up?

We have been together 25 years. They got together when they were 16/17, got married mid twenties and split up mid 30s. Husband says that basically they were too young and out grew each other.
I also get along well with my stepkids. I realise that I am very fortunate,especially after reading some of the threads on MN.
