Not sure if dh wants another child

Ds approching 2 & we always talked of starting for second about now but not sure if dh so keen on any more at all!
I think he's struggled with parenthood & is alaways saying how much our rel'ship has changed now that there's 3 of us.
Background familiy issues on his side (no father, no role model, abusive (mentally)mother) mine all relative sane (!) & I think he's quite jealous of my rel'ship with ds, so doesn't want to add to that 'distancing' ds has created.
Feel quite sad about it & not sure how to start going about talking to him about trying for child no. 2 (if at all!).
Anyone been there too..............?

You need to discuss it with him.

Just have a nice meal, but DS to bed nad say "DS did [cute thing] today, I wonder what he'll be like with a brother or sister"

Am in a similar situation. Dp feels the same as your dh. we had always talked about 'children' and i would absolutely love at least one more (dd is 14months) but he looks like he is back tracking at the moment, which is really hurting and upsetting me. I'm hoping as dd really becomes more of 'a person' over the next few months he'll change his mind..............

He is right though, if he finds it hard now, he is not going to like it if you have another one.

No. 2 is not going to be easier than no. 1.

I think he is very brave and I admire him for saying that he has reservations about having another child.
