Kind of hypothetical
You have kids and have a partner that has become verbally abusive
You are offered a place at a refuge
You have an old dog in reasonable health that can't go but you can't leave it as your partner hates it. Nobody you know can help. What do you do?

I think I would contact dogs trust, as they work with the freedom project to provide temporary foster care to animals when they can't go to the refuge with you. www.moretodogstrust.org.uk/other-pet-fostering-services/other-pet-fostering-services . Are you okay OP? x

Ask at the local vet if they know any fosterers.. I had a huge ginger dcat while a woman and her dc awaited rehousing..
Via rspca.
Maybe someone they know personally could have your ddog temperarily op? It's tough. I had to leave a ddog behind and it haunted me for years.
What area are you in op if you can say?

iamtheoneandonlyyy · 19/05/2020 13:13

I'd rather not say where if that's ok, I'm name changing every couple of days at the minute.
I'm ok I'm just overwhelmed at the moment. Thank you

Feel free to come back here and talk, OP. I would phone up your local dogs trust (google for the phone number) and discuss your options with them. Best to do it sooner rather than later as they will have to line up a foster carer Flowers
