My friend has sent me the number of a good friend of hers. We're both single and have been for a little while and she thinks we could be well suited. We both know about each other but have only met once 8 yrs ago at one of her BBQs. Never since.

I need to send my first text. What shall I say to keep it light and breezy?

Does he know you have his number?
If so I’d just open with something fairly generic, maybe a question related to how he’s finding lockdown or something along those lines - he will definitely be able to think a reply to that, and hopefully strike up a conversation from there.

"Hey sexgod, I hear you're also living in Singletown. You're a man, I've got needs. Be here in 60 minutes 'cause I need something to hang my bra on. Don't bother knocking. Kind regards, etc."
