Stockholm syndrome

We were a month or two away from buying me out and finalising our separation legally, having been separated since Sep last year. Then lockdown happens, we start being nice to each other and my brain thinks I like stbexh again. I don't, I really don't, I really, really, really don't.....but I am almost half tempted to jump his bones (we've been sleeping separately since Sep as well). Fucks sake - is this happening to anyone else?

What's this got to do with Stockholm syndrome?

richteasandcheese · 16/04/2020 22:10

He's an emotionally abusive narcissist

I don’t think shagging him will help.

richteasandcheese · 16/04/2020 22:44

Well no, and I know that.....maybe I haven't explained myself well, but lockdown has basically got me feeling like a giddy teenager over a man I completely and utterly loathe

Oh god, you absolutely have to restrain yourself. Think of it as him winning if you sleep with him. Don't let him win.

I am not in the same situation as you but I kept shagging a horrible man for way too long and it did not end well. It is a bad idea! He hasn’t changed and never will! I understand though it’s like a weird feeling

Sn0tnose · 16/04/2020 22:56

Think of it as going back to the starting point if you make a move on him. You’d have to end it all over again, go through all of the nastiness and bitterness. You’re so close to the end. You’ve got everything to lose and nothing to gain.

Elieza · 16/04/2020 23:06

Don’t do it. Get your battery powered friend out instead to scratch that itch Grin

Cnoc · 16/04/2020 23:12

Write a binding agreement with friends as witnesses that if you shag him you will give a £5000 donation to some godawful organisation whose goals you profoundly disagree with.
