Talking to this guy on a dating website and aiming to meet once this is over. I told my friend about him. He has a 16 month old and split from the childs mum 6 months ago and recently went on this site. My mate thinks this is a red flag? Ie got such a young child and dating

Amber alert rather than a red flag. You’d need more details. Is he really split/how much contact does he have with child/what where the circumstances of split/is he ready for a new relationship? would all be avenues of thought would occur to me.

I think it depends on the circumstances of the split tbh.

But then you can say that about any man you meet on the internet and their previous relationships. It's how they left the relationship, their relationship history and how they talk about the ex etc.
