Selfish DP

DP is currently in the second week at a physio treatment centre (mon-fri) which is work related. He's an hour away.
Fully supported him being there, no issues.

He told me this morning they were shutting down tomorrow and there are no classes but he'd ordered his evening meal choices so would stay for that this evening.
I told him I was happy he was coming home!
He never showed up this evening and he's currently in a bar with the people he's met this week.
I'm so pissed off!
With everything going on right now, I'm fairly frazzled, my year 11 DC has come home from school with plans for his last day at school to be told they are not to come in now, so he's gutted, I cried in Asda car park this afternoon, I still have to work ( I'm entirely grateful I'll still be getting a wage ) and my EXH is trying to get the kids on a plane to be with him because I'm going to be working all hours, (not happening) I'm worried about my parents as they're not in the best of health.
I feel pretty helpless and kind of expected DP to just come home if he's done there now.
He said he may never see these (3 day old) friends again so they've gone for a drink!
I'm honestly lost for words

I'm sorry, it sounds like you're having a really tough time right now.

It also sounds like he's been a bit thoughtless rather than deliberately selfish - unless there's a pattern?

Hope you're able to get some sleep and things look brighter in the morning.
