I have an issue which is causing me and my boyfriend to argue quite abit. I'm intrigued to know everyone else's opinion on this.

So me and my partner of 4 years have been living in rented accommodation for a while now. I am studying at university with just a year to go and my boyfriend has just started his career.
Money is understandably tight and we are unable to buy our own place yet which is frustrating but we know once I've qualified in a year and have a job we could potentially start looking.

So my issues are with my boyfriends brother & his girlfriend. We will call them Bonny & Clyde. They've been together for just over a year and have already managed to buy themselves a house in a very desirable area. The only issue is that it needs renovating...

Clyde asked my boyfriend if he could temporarily move in with us just until its atleast liveable & my boyfriend agreed. This is when the arguments between me and my boyfriend began.
First off he didnt really ask me if it was ok before agreeing i was just expected to be fine with it & secondly the only money hes asking from him is £50 for gas & £50 for electricity. We have one of those top up meters and so Clyde agreed that he would go to the shop whenever they ran out and top them up.

I personally think if we are helping clyde out when hes already sorted with his house then he can help us too. Hes on a bloody decent wage. I dont understand why he couldnt have atleast given us money towards our rent and then we could have saved that for a deposit on a house when we come to move out. Me and my boyfriend are constantly back and forth with this. My boyfriend keeps saying how it's his brother and he doesn't want to take money from him where as I'm thinking I'm a bloody student, I have no money to my name, I'm trying my best to keep this rented house over our heads and meanwhile we have his brother living with us rent free and only paying £100!!

Anyway....I have been trying to forget about this, telling myself that he will be out of our hair soon. However, he moved in, in December and said he would be here three months tops but his three months are almost over and theres no signs of this house being ready ! Meanwhile I'm constantly going on social media and seeing him and Bonny out 24/7. Bonny has her own personal trainer and shes just bought herself a brand new car. I'm like ?!?? We are helping them!! They are saving so much money by living with us but yet it seems they are spending their money on anything but the house.
I am honestly in most weekends with my lack of money and it just doesnt seem fair at all what they're doing. I feel like me and my boyfriend have mug written across our foreheads!

On top of that Bonny is supposed to be my friend. Before clyde moved in me and bonny would have nights in together or go out for drinks but now its just like shes a stranger to me and she just comes in whenever she wants and sometimes doesnt even say hi to me ! The two of them will just stay in our spare room all night without even saying two words and I think it's so rude !!

The other Saturday I was home alone feeling a little sorry for myself as my boyfriend was on a night shift and as I said earlier my lack of money stops me from being able to go out. Then at midnight Bonny and clyde just walk in, both drunk and I'm just like ?!? They had been out to the local pub with Bonnys mate. It would have been lovely if they had just sent me a text to ask if I'd like to join them knowing full well my boyfriend was working a night shift and I'd be home alone. I ended up going off to bed and they proceeded to order a chinese which woke up my dog when the delivery driver was banging on the door in the early hours. When I woke up the next morning they had just left their dirty pots out ! This isnt the first time this has happened either.

I have so much built up resentment for the both of them and its driving me insane. I've spoken to my boyfriend about it but he doesnt see the issues cos it's his brother! I just think they are being massively disrespectful towards us.

They are taking the utter piss. Your BF tells Clyde that as it's not as temporary a solution as he had anticipated, he needs to start paying his way properly now, towards all bills and rent, in the manner of a lodger. If your BF refuses on grounds of non-boat rockage, leave. He needs to start paying more consideration to you than to his brother and that should have started with consulting you before agreeing to his moving in.

I'd go further. I'd tell him I had never consented to Clyde moving in, him and Bonnie are taking the piss, and that either he tells him to leave or I'm done. And I would be done.
