A family member has recently found out that their wife is having an affair. Family member is the main caregiver of two young children (works part-time) and wife is the main earner. It is looking like relationship will end imminently as lot of gas lighting going on. I have seen people post excellent practical / financial advice on what someone should do in this situation. Please could someone give me a list of practical tips to share?

The best thing they can do is get some legal advice and see how they stand is terms of finances and the children moving forward

Thanks so much. Have already advised them to get legal advice. I am just trying to sort what needs to be done to ensure the least impact for them and the kids.
