Ex instructor contact

I went to an aerobics class for many years. A few years ago, the instructor became involved with the 'Herbalife' brand. She completely changed and was not really interested in the people at the group and their lives anymore.

It seemed as though she wanted to be involved with the bodybuilding culture yet some of her traits bordered body dysmorphia and narcissism with all of these Instagram posts and Herbalife 'challenges'.

I had ill health and was on a reduced income. I felt she preyed on me as I was vulnerable which a few times I bought 2 tubs of protein powders costing me £60 a time. That was lot of money for me as I could only just pay the bills. After not losing any weight or seeing any improvements in my health my brother looked at the powders and said they were full of sugar and other toxins. I was so upset and angry as I had wasted money on something which was of no benefit to me.

I ended up leaving the group in the end which she couldn't even be bothered to reply to my farewell email. Since then I get these 'blanket' texts saying how are you etc and then asking to rejoin or if I know of anyone who wants to join her. I just feel she is a user and not interested in me. I keep telling her I don't know anyone.

Should I just block her? She has no interest in helping me and just wants people to buy these powders and shakes so she can go on free Herbalife conferences abroad. Her messages are becoming a nuisance.

Why wouldn’t you block her?

Block away!

She’s not a friend - she’s trying to sell her classes (which is fair enough).

If you’re not interested in rejoining then just block her number. She won’t lose any sleep over it and nor should you.

Have you watched the documentary Betting on Zero? Think its on Netflix. Very worth watching if you know anyone prone to these scams.

Spoiler alert- Herbalife is a massive scam and you're well off out of it.

You’re right she’s a user. Block her and don’t feel guilty about it.
