Anyone know anything about YourSecretChat. Com?

I've found emails from them in BF's inbox telling him about a secret match. He says it's spam, I'm not convinced.

Anyone seen spam from this company before?

I have - my DP gets them all the time. I had the same concerns and wasn't convinced, but I tried to reset the password on the account and nothing came through.

I guess it does depend on whether they were in his spam folder or not, my DP's were.

GinWeasley · 09/03/2020 13:13

I've seen them before and believed they were spam. Today, I logged in to look for something else, one unread in inbox and one in spam.

He has form from a few years ago when we were first dating. Things aren't great at the moment and my spidery senses have been triggered. But I can't find anything online about it so Im not sure

Likely to be spam. I have all sorts of spam emails eventhough I rarely share my email. Try like PP and enter his email in there and see what happens.
Although it's obvious you don't trust him anyway.

blue30 · 09/03/2020 13:17

Sounds spammy, they likley get you to sign up so far then ask for card details to read a message from a 'hottie'

EveryThingWillBeWorthIt · 09/03/2020 13:24

@GinWeasley in fairness I never found one in the inbox, only ever spam. If your senses are being triggered then I would trust your instincts but it might not be this site. Try and reset the password and see if an email comes in.

crustycrab · 09/03/2020 13:26

Spam. Just had a look at the delights in my junk folder.

I've got numerous "sexy Asian girls" and a "Ukrainian mama" wanting to hook up with me. 40% off some girth miracle pills...

And worst of all, it's meatball day at frankie and bennys 🤢

mamato3lads · 09/03/2020 17:33

Likely spam but doing a password reset will tell you one way or the other

Can you see his internet history?

What's making you suspect ?

mamato3lads · 09/03/2020 17:37

@GinWeasley

I hate to say this but that website is a real one. You have to enter your email address to register.

Definitely try password reset because you can message these girls, it doesn't look like spam to me.....

mamato3lads · 09/03/2020 17:38

www.yoursecretchat.com

KurriKawari · 09/03/2020 19:52

You can still get spam from real websites. Doesn't take much effort to set up a 'fake' website.

mamato3lads · 09/03/2020 19:56

True but I did a little digging for OP. Worth checking at least, seeing as she has her suspicions about him anyway

Agree it could be nothing .....

RLEOM · 09/03/2020 19:58

Go with your gut.

blue30 · 09/03/2020 22:31

I would put money that’s purely a spam site fishing for lonely desperate people with credit cards.

mamato3lads · 09/03/2020 22:55

Well I registered out of interest @GinWeasley

Got an email with a number to verify my email address, then I could start messaging people. Didnt ask for money.

mamato3lads · 09/03/2020 22:56

When I say number I dont mean phone number, I meant a digit code they send you to enter into the site.

GinWeasley · 09/03/2020 23:12

Thanks @mamato3lads , bless you!
I inputted his email addresses and the site didn't recognise any of them. So nothing untoward there.

But I am well aware that not trusting him is not a good place to be in. Lots of thinking to do. Thanks all x

Divebar · 09/03/2020 23:21

His inbox is not a good place to be either - either morally or legally if he doesn’t know anything about it.

GinWeasley · 09/03/2020 23:44

He knew

OP posts:
mamato3lads · 09/03/2020 23:52

@Divebar

Hmm get over yourself with the moral and legal implications. Bloody hell.

OP, glad his email didnt come up. If he had registered, it would have. So it's probably spam but if there's trust issues, address them, dont let them eat you up Flowers

hannah1992 · 10/03/2020 08:00

@crustycrab I get those too. And "Pamela says your gorgeous. Click this link to connect with pamela"

heathw · 07/04/2020 07:43

I got a email last night from this site, it was in my inbox, Ive never never signed up to the site or any site like it, so I don't know why I got it? my partner has read it and now god knows what she thinks, I think its awful they are allowed to just send them out like they do, they clearly do not care about any potential damage to relationships they might do. I feel I should say if your partner is on it I very much doubt they would leave the mails in the inbox to be read, I think there should be a letter written and signed by people affected by the selfish actions of this site so maybe they would stop sending unsolicited mails out!
