Does anyone have any experience of groups or courses you can attend once you have left an abusive relationship, aimed at getting you back on your feet, mentally?

Ive researched and found Rise.org who run a 12 week course called ReGroup.

Before booking I would like to know if anyone particularly would or wouldnt reccomend any programs there are?

I need a bit of help and cant afford therapy at the moment. But please do let me know if you found a form of therapy helpful too, because i will be in a position to pay for that when i receive money from the house sale.

Thank you !

PS this forum is a HUGE support already xxx

The main one people recommend is the Freedom Programme. I'm going and really 'enjoy' it, and it'll probably help me avoid wrong'uns in future.

The women are really lovely- everyone really supports each other. Would heartily recommend!

It's a matter of researching what's available in your area. For example, in London, Women's Trust offer free counselling for those who have/are experiencing domestic abuse.

The best thing to do is contact your local domestic abuse organisation and ask them. You can also Google your area and do a search. For example, 'Domestic abuse counselling Hertfordshire' or 'Low cost free trauma counselling Brighton.'

As a pp recommended, another good option is the Freedom Programme.

Well done for getting out.

Hi, did you manage to sign up for the freedom programme? It is life changing and we offer them online for free. Happy to chat as it is amazing.

I like this FB group too www.facebook.com/groups/narcissisticpartners Even if you don't relate to your ex being a narc, it helps because people share what they're going through and support each other.
