Okay, I have no idea what the hell I’m doing.

I joined a new dating site today thinking I’m ready to start giving it a go. Chats have been going well - I’ve been open that it’s casual for me and I might be interested in sex. Cool, everyone on the same page. We continue to talk, flirt, all going well.

Then I say the dreaded ‘so, would you like to meet’ and it’s radio silence.

WTH is that about? It’s happened with two guys tonight and I won’t understand it. Is this normal?

There is nothing normal in the world of OLD. Time wasting seems to go with the territory.

I have been online dating on and off for years and whilst messaging or a profile sex has never been metioned. That said I have never been contacted by anyone I am remotely atracted to. Welcome to the world of OLD, where no one is as they first appear.

I think a lot of ppl are just on these sites for the chat. To stroke their egos you know. And have no intention of bothering to meet anyone. Its frustrating I know :/

I’m on Bumble as I didn’t like the tinder experience. So far I’m getting better quality men and the chats are good. Nothing overly sexual but I’m being quite clear I’m open to go out for a drink and if there’s chemistry then more.

But it’s the ‘shall we arrange something’ that seems to scare them off. Insane!

Just feels like a waste of time. I’ve even had to justify that when I say ‘casual’ I actually mean that 🙄

It happened to me the other night.
