I’m leaving my partner as he has an issue with drinking + drugs. We have a 4 year old daughter. She’s amazing and deserves better, I have been running a market stall for the last two years and have just signed a lease for a small shop. My partner works as a restaurant manager.
I am hoping to work in the shop part time, with volunteers, but just wondered if this is still a sensible option?
I hope to apply for benefits for housing etc, but will I be eligible if I’m self employed and building a business that make take a couple of years to pay me properly??
It is already quite successful but you never know when taking the next step to brick and mortar!
Has anyone else started a business during in these circumstances? I’m pretty devastated!
I just want to know I will be able to afford my life as well as starting my business!
