First one tomorrow. Been single for 3 years after a long term relationship, so haven't been on a date for nearly 10 years!!

I'm so nervous.. He seems perfectly nice, we get on, he's seen pics of me, he says I am good looking but I really don't think I am! I'm very self conscious thanks to an abusive ex, and I haven't had any male interest in all that time. To be fair I don't really go out anywhere to meet anyone and although I take basic care of myself like brush my teeth and hair ect I don't make an effort with clothes or make up. I'm so nervous. I don't know why I posted this, maybe just for some advice? Support?

Depends on the date but if yes coffee then just dress causal and if it's dinner dress up a bit. Make an effort and dress so that you feel good about yourself. Then you'll feel more confident. Good luck, relax and enjoy yourself 😊

We're going for a drink in the evening x

You'll be fine. At the very worst you'll decide you don't fancy him and all you'll have wasted is a few hours and £30 on drinks.

At best you may have just found Mr Right.

Anything in between will hopefully give you a bit of a confidence boost!

Don’t try too hard, just relax and be yourself. Have fun!

How was your date?

It was good! I was so close to backing out but I didn't, we are seeing each other again :)
