Confused about blocking someone

If I block someone will they know?

If I block their emails will they get a bounce back?

If I block their number, what happens if they try to call me? What happens if they try to text me? They don’t have an iPhone like me so we don’t get to see if we have received or read each other’s texts normally.

We’re not on Whatsapp or Facebook.

No they won’t know,

Imessage will say delivered and phone calls ring once and then go to voicemail. Presume it will be the same for other phones. They obviously will still able to contact you if they withhold their number

No you won’t know if they have tried. They might not “know” but I’m sure they will be able to guess you have!

I have blocked someone on social media and phone.
Calls still come through and show the contact name. I don't think you can answer the call and it showed as a missed call. Texts go to the screened messages folder, although I haven't seen anything in that folder.
On FB, when you block someone they can't see your profile and you can't see theirs.

The phone stuff may depend on your phone and provider. Mine isn't an iPhone.

I have voicemail switched off I think.
