To go on this date or not ?

I’m meant to be going on a date with a guy who is very attractive and has a very good job . The thing is I am unemployed at the moment . In the past if I’ve been honest about my situation I have been judged heavily. I’m trying very hard to get work, have been having interviews and I’m studying p/t. I’m actually quite ambitious but have been doing through a few things .

What should I say about my work situation ? I should have my life sorted sooner rather that later but my confidence is especially low . I’m not a very good liar but I’d be inclined to lie in some way. I wouldn’t normally over think things about a date but I want to make a good impression.

Any advice welcome !

Say this, OP, if the topic even comes up at all: I’m trying very hard to get work, have been having interviews and I’m studying p/t.

Enjoy your date, and try to feel confident.

Go on the date.

If he asks you what you do, say you're looking for a job at the moment. That's it. End of.

It won't put him off.

You say you're a student and currently looking for a part time job and be enthusiastic about what you're studying and the sort of job you're looking for. No problem.

Tell him you’re studying, which you are.
