Tissue in dhs work bag

Littlebb2020 · 17/01/2020 16:27

Going to sound very weird. But for before I can remember I’ve always noticed my dh has either a roll or just a thick pile of tissue in his work bag. I go in it to get his lunch box or stick it in after I’ve made our lunches for the day.
Never asked but just wondered why he’d have it in the first place? He works as a driver/delivery/assembler. Anyone else’s do this? And for what reason. And no he doesn’t have toilet problems or anything that I know of.

What a bizarre thread. You can't seriously think there's something strange about carrying a wad of tissues around?

MerryDeath · 17/01/2020 18:54

eurgh the countryside pull in where we park to walk our dogs has been in receipt of a human shitter, tp and all, recently.

absolutely vile. we

Wiping another woman 😂😂

Of all the bizarre, inexplicable things that people might like to have with them every day.... tissues/toilet roll are absolutely NOT included.

If he always liked to have a set of mixed-size rawl plugs, a pot of window putty whitener or an oversized composite plastic and rubber spatula with him throughout the day, that might be weird - but tissues? Stop a hundred people in the street and more than half of them will be carrying tissues or a hanky with them.

Why not just ask him? I'm sure his answer is going to be one of the most boring and mundane things you've ever heard.

WorraLiberty · 17/01/2020 19:00

Why don't you ask him?

Far, far too simple.

Why as the person you are married to, who will absolutely know for sure, when you can ask a bunch of Mumsnet randoms who can only speculate? Grin

WorraLiberty · 17/01/2020 19:00

*ask

MrsGrindah · 17/01/2020 19:01

What an absolute bastard. I’ve read some bad things on here but your husband is the worst. You deserve a medal OP if you stay with him after this. There should be a support group for people like you!

june2007 · 17/01/2020 19:10

Guess what I normally have tissues too, and where I work does have loo roll, does that make me weird??? Seriously what is the issue.

FattyCutty · 17/01/2020 19:15

Maybe he's a secret tissue eater 🤧

helberg · 17/01/2020 19:16

Well obviously it's because he's wanking in his van most of the day.
That's the only possible reason for him to have tissues in his bag.

Get your ducks in a row and go and see a shit hot solicitor on Monday.
LTB. It'll only get worse.
Don't be one of those women that takes no notice of the advice on Mumsnet and pops up again in a year's time with a thread about how he's been caught wanking and driving and watching a porn video all at the same time and has lost his driving license and job.
Get rid now. It's for the best.

messolini9 · 17/01/2020 19:18

Weird one, OP!

I visited my chum's house the other day, & nipped upstairs for a wee.
Imagine my perplexed expression when I saw that my chum keeps a roll of tissue in her bathroom.

I mean - WTF? Crazy, right?
Why would she have it in the first place?
Does anyone else's friend do this?
And for what reason?

WeBuiltThisBuffetOnSausageRoll · 17/01/2020 19:19

My overriding concern would be what might happen to them if somebody else picks up any old ones that he's instantly discarded because they've already gone manky in his pocket and then does something odd with them.

Or, to put it another way, the issue of the misuse of the disused tissues.

StLucia4 · 17/01/2020 19:25

I’m sorry but I’m laughing at all the replies and in agreement. My kids are all young adults but I have a toilet roll in the car or tissues and I dont drive a van.
Who doesn’t?! Grin
How suspicious can a wife be?!

NorksofPlenty · 17/01/2020 19:27

LTB

FFS @helberg you are being precipitate here.
This is some poor poster's MARRIAGE we are talking about here, & you feel it's ok to just tell her to LTB?
Will you not think of the children!!!?
No, what OP should do is simply confiscate the tissue. Daily.
No more wank driving, no more per-mile-porn channels, a safe driving licence & a job.

At all costs, OP needs to avoid asking her DH the compelling question: "Tissues: wot's all that about then huh?" - because what is marriage, when all the charm of mysterious paper product placing has fled?

MrsEricBana · 17/01/2020 19:30

Oh come on people...she needs to CANCEL THE CHEQUE

Doggodogington · 17/01/2020 19:32

What kind of relationship do you have that you can’t just ask why he carries tissues?

helberg · 17/01/2020 19:33

No, what OP should do is simply confiscate the tissue. Daily.
No more wank driving, no more per-mile-porn channels, a safe driving licence & a job.

That's not going to stop him at all. Guys like that never change. He'll be stopping off at a shop to buy more tissues and hiding them in the spare wheel compartment in the van.
Might be an idea to put some kind of tracker on the van and OP will be able to see if he stops off anywhere suspicious.

I stand by what I said - she needs to LTB. Imagine a life of constant stress and worry about how, where and for how long he is wanking in his van.

CustardySergeant · 17/01/2020 19:34

Has anyone suggested she log it with 101 yet?

BernardsarenotalwaysSaints · 17/01/2020 19:38

I think you just did Custardy, good suggestion, definitely the right course of action.

Mumalu · 17/01/2020 19:39

This has made my day ..
Iv not laughed so much for ages thank you mn

74NewStreet · 17/01/2020 19:41

Why would anyone pick up a manky, used tissue and do something odd with it ??? 😆😆😆
That’s a million times weirder than the op’s dilemma.

messolini9 · 17/01/2020 19:41

OK @helberg & bow to your superior arsing about skills experience.
But can we make sure OP only engages with the kind of SHL who will persuade the court to award a special compensation fee to OP, over & above any maintenance, to affray the cost of DH's ongoing tissue habit?

WhentheRabbitsWentWild · 17/01/2020 19:43

What do you think he has them for OP ? Wanking?
