Ex crap

I text my ex tonight to see what he was doing and got no reply, I then got in my car after a couple of hours not hearing from him and checked if his car was outside his house and if the pub was closed as he might be there. ( we live in a small village) WTF I must be crazy!
We've been on off for over a year.
He won't commit
I know I deserve more- please be harsh and knock some sense into me.
We were last together nye

He's your ex.

Stop stalking him.

Delete his number, block him on all social media and go see a doctor.

omghh · 12/01/2020 02:47

I'm not stalking him- although I guess it sounds like that tonight!
I tried to cut contact he messages me sporadically.

OP posts:
Gingernaut · 12/01/2020 02:49

Block him.

omghh · 12/01/2020 02:51

I should. I don't feel I can now cos there's a friendship

OP posts:
Sultanaofping · 12/01/2020 02:58

Do you want to be his friend though OP? Is this 'friendship' adding anything to your life or just making you confused and stopping you from moving on?

omghh · 12/01/2020 03:03

I want to be his friend of course I think so much of him, but being in love with him I want more.
I just don't want him completely out my life but I would like to move on somehow.

OP posts:
BitOfFun · 12/01/2020 03:07

You ARE stalking him! Leave him alone!

omghh · 12/01/2020 03:15

I'm not bloody stalking him! I just had a low moment tonight when he didn't reply and I lost my head and wondered where he was - literally drove 15 seconds down the road!
Never done that before, I don't follow him or message him constantly!
But thanks for making me feel mental,

OP posts:
IndieTara · 12/01/2020 03:25

You need space and time apart before you can even think about being friends.
But really if you love him but he doesn't feel the same, you can't be friends. You're deluding yourself

PawPawNoodle · 12/01/2020 03:28

It's not really any of your business where he is - if he wanted you to know he would have told you. Going out and looking for him is weird and controlling.

northyorkshire.police.uk/staying-safe/personal-safety/stalking-and-harassment/types-of-stalkers/ - you sound just like the first profile.

omghh · 12/01/2020 03:39

Oh
Blimey!
I'm not controlling. I was just trying to see if he was in and ignoring me. I was just feeling low, never done that before and like I said it was literally seconds down the road.
But point taken totally! I never want to be that.
Thanks

Op, I’m so sorry but yes everything you have said means you are stalking him. Maybe not it an aggressive way, like psycho films. But you need to move on now

Luckystar777 · 12/01/2020 03:55

He's an ex for a reason and you should just move on, it would be healthier for both of you by the sound of it.

Pilot12 · 12/01/2020 03:56

Sorry OP but that is stalking, if you keep doing it and he notices he can report you to the police. If that's what you're like no wonder he didn't reply. If you're no longer together it's not any of your business what he's doing on Saturday night or who he's with.

omghh · 12/01/2020 04:02

I'm not like anything. I just had a crazy moment, I've never done that before. I would never want to stalk or control anyone ever.
Please can this thread be deleted @mumsnet.

Op, do you not want to discuss this rather than request deletion when people tell you the truth? It may be helpful in the long run?

Sultanaofping · 12/01/2020 10:41

but being in love with him I want more

That was kind of my point OP, you're hurting yourself and preventing yourself from moving on by trying to maintain a friendship with him, it's too soon and isn't always possible at all. I don't think you're mad, or controlling for going there last night, but you've said yourself it was out of the ordinary for you, a 'crazy moment', which should maybe tell you it would be better for you to go no contact, at least for a while.
