So ... this is me trying to figure out for my friend (not me) so don't shoot the messenger.

Your husband gets a text from his daughters phone from her friend wishing him a happy new year, he reply's thanks darling then deletes those two messages individually, not know long my mate clocked it ...

I said it's probably because he apparently finds daughters friend annoying and don't want her message on their thread... she thinks it's really odd.. nothing else in it apparently just her wishing happy new year but she's annoyed he's deleted them and didn't say she just saw him do it , when she dropped friends babe into convo he said oh she text me on ????? Phone wishing me a happy new year for some reason .... so he's not lied
I've told her not to worry she's a kid at the end of the day

How old is the daughter?

My ex best friends daughter made my husband an Elvis cake for his 40th birthday. Then he fitted a car radio in her car which he bought, and took nearly a day to fit when her parents were on holiday!

I was so naive. The daughter was the one who told me about another affair he was having with a different woman as she saw them in the pub where she worked...... not sure if she was angry so she told me..... all a huge mess at the time , and I had my head in the sand!

Hopefully this is all innocent, but your friend seems to think otherwise.

I'm guessing 17/18 as she passed her test no so long ago , I can't see it being that but you never know I guess. But it is odd she text off the daughters phone and he deleted it unless he just didn't want the text on there, it is odd tho I just wouldn't bother deleting it
