Misery on Christmas Eve

Partner (soon to be x) always in sulking about something and negative. Christmas Eve and my daughter is worrying why her dad is upset and down. I’ve just had a word with him and said for one day think about your kids and not self indulge in yourself. Now it’s set the whole tone of the day. I’m so sick of it. Can’t wait for next Xmas when we won’t have him constantly bringing down the mood

Can you get yourselves out for the day, away from him? He can only bring you down if you're around him. Obviously you can't help him being there Xmas day but I would just carry on and be happy and jolly for the kids and just ignore him. You can't control his behaviour unfortunately but you can control how you behave. Just think about how great next year will be.

Same here - miserable fuck is just about tripping over his own face. Kids and I will be at my parents tomorrow and he's choosing to stay at home despite the fact he could go to his own parents. Next year will be better

Go for a walk tomorrow!!!

Kill him with kindness/being overly cheery....

You're not alone Sad Plan here is to be as cheerily normal as possible with as little interaction as possible. Good luck!

Mine has spent the ENTIRE day cooking hams. They aren't even for us to eat - he's giving one to his parents for their friends on 26th and one to my mum. He will talk endlessly about his fucking ham.

He has done sweet FA else for Christmas.
My DS 9 wanted to give Father Christmas ham with his brandy.
DP leaps from the sofa screaming don't touch my ham. You can't have my ham.

I called him a C. Not my finest moment and he's barraged me with rude text messages from his sulking pit upstairs ever since.

Happy fucking Christmas

Dump these miserable fuckers. What is the point of them? Imagine how brilliant and fun and peaceful your Xmas could be next year! These days women don’t need to put up with this shit. Dump dump dump!
