My husband's iPad had this message on it. What could it mean please?

'This device was removed from all secret conversations....'

I didn't even know about 'secret conversations'

I wouldn't assume the worst just yet. The "secret" bit in apps is often to do with encryption, not to keep secret from spouses

Typical Facebook, making a feature out of something that should have been automatically true. "Even facebook can't read your secret conversation messages" I SHOULD FUCKING HOPE NOT YOU HIDEOUS PRIVACY VOILATING ARSEHOLES.

Anyway, no cause for concern OP.

SpoonBlender · 22/12/2019 00:05

Heh. Voilating. Sheer material that FB can totally see through! Nice typo, me.

It means he has switched the option off in Facebook Messenger app. It’s switched on by default. It is device specific so would need to be switched on or off for each device.

Regardless a secret conversation could only be viewed on one device.

Either he was faffing about and decided to switch it off. Or he is up to something and didn’t realise that nothing would go to the iPad for secret conversations he was having on another device so disabled it as a safety measure. Or he did have a secret conversation on the iPad and then switched it off to delete it.

I have to say OP that I’d be tempted to send him a secret message when he was on his phone where I could see him. I’d be curious about whether he got it, if he gets notified of your message - he hasn’t switched it off igeekvision.com/messenger-secret-conversations/
