Would you be annoyed at husband for getting too drunk and spending the day in bed when really you could have help with LO after 4 nights of no sleep!? NB he went out for his Christmas night out. Just had a bit of a row as apparently I need to "sort out my face and attitude" and he said he was going to leave me as "life is too short"

I think after 4 night of no sleep it's difficult for you to think straight. I'm sure you could do with some more support from him, it sounds like he's behaved inconsiderately at best but I think you need to let the heat leave the situation before talking about that with him.

merryhouse · 19/12/2019 21:20

Yes I'd be annoyed at him for being hungover when I'm knackered.

I'd be seriously angry if he said I needed to sort out my face and attitude - and I can't help thinking I might say "off you pop then"

When he's not hungover tell him you're struggling and need his input. Don't use annoyed language, just tell him what you need. Decide your next step based on his response to this.

I’d be very annoyed! Definitely YANBU

The hangover is maybe give him a pass or do the same myself. Those comments are distrusting though .

hellsbellsmelons · 20/12/2019 09:38

and he said he was going to leave me as "life is too short"
Off you fuck then you selfish dickhead!
Does he often say horrible things to you?
If someone told me to sort out my face and attitude I'd be kicking there arse firmly out the door.
Is this a one-off?
Is he often like this?
Does he do his fair share of childcare and household chores?
How old is your little one?

Strongmummy · 20/12/2019 09:39

What an arsehole

Waxonwaxoff0 · 20/12/2019 09:43

Is the night out a one off? If so I wouldn't be too bothered. I wouldn't be happy at being spoken to like that though!

LASH38 · 20/12/2019 09:59

Has he actually helped you over the past four days? Would he have helped you last night?

If the answer to both is no then you have a bigger problem than last night.

SophieSong · 20/12/2019 10:14

A hangover after an Xmas so wouldn’t bother me if it was only that. But how come you had four nights of no sleep before that? Did he get any sleep?

Oysterbabe · 20/12/2019 10:35

I'd he's an equal parent the rest of the time I wouldn't be angry about a hangover after a Christmas night out.
