Fed up.. any suggestions for attempting to perk up my marriage

I have name changed as don't really like posting relationship stuff

Feeling fed up and bored with DH
I am home with the kids full time
He works too much and too late

Feel like I just can't be arsed anymore

I know it can be boring at home all day. How old are kids?
Do you ever go out together etc: meals, cinema.
If not make the efert to try and do something together and maybe you would feel better about his long hours away from you.

go on a date (god can't believe i am advising on marriage stuff!).....get kids baby sat and go out seperately....'bump' into each other in a bar, and chat each other up!

Does he know how you feel......do you think he feels the same?

if he working late (again), get kids in bed, dim the lights, cook nice dinner (maybe cook dinner before u dim the lights!), get dolled up, and woooooo him!

if he freaks out, shuns you, brushes you off, then you need to talk......

I would say 'date night'
We've been married 12 years adn everything is fab, but I think the reason is that even if we dont go out, we have one night a week when we sit down together, no TV, pull the phone out of the wall, and have a fab old natter, which usually (but not always) ends up ...

Sometimes we go out, or get a take away, or just a bottle of wine, and chill out together. But like Meeely says, if he brushes this idea off, you really need to talk anyway.

And if you are home ft, try to do something just for you as well. I was a SAHM for 5 years before going back to college, and just the couple of little distance learning courss I did in that time really perked me up.

It can get a wee bit claustrophobic being a ft mum when dh is so preoccupied elsewhere, I think.

The kids are under 5

I think I need some time to myself more first

can you go out when he comes in?
evenign class or something.
do your kids go back to school soon? it will be better then. the holidays are very hard work
