No emotional support

My long term dp seems incapable of offering me any emotional support. I really need it right now and he seems to not notice or care. Even if I speak to him about it, he says he will try but he never does.

It makes me want to leave him. I can't go on like this any more.

What would emotional support look like for you? If he never does, what's taking his attention elsewhere?

Someone who cares about my feelings and what I'm going through and has some empathy.

I thinks its more that he just doesn't recognise anyones feelings.
