I have been dating my partner for 7months now I have a 4 yr old DD and he has 4yr old DD and 7yr old DS. We’ve introduced the kids twice. How often is it ok for meet ups? And does anyone have any tips/advice? My little girl seems very reluctant, which is probably expected with her age and everything being very new to her. She still asks me questions such as when are you coming back to family meaning with her dad. Which can be a little heartbreaking at times to explain. Has anyone been through this and got any good advice?

My advice would be to be very, very careful, because if the girls become close friends, then you are emotionally tied regardless of what happens with your relationship and that makes it very hard to split up. Been there, done that, the children become a lever which can be used to make you stay.

Besides, your DD does not sound ready to be meeting your partner’s children so I would hold off.
