Is it gaslighting when you know what he’s doing?

Hi there

Apologies in advance as I’m tired and this maybe badly written

I’ve been with dh for nearly 4yeayrs when we got together it was so natural and fluid like I’d found my soul mate...

We now have a beautiful ds both our first and I’m at home with the baba atm - pure economics I’m quite thick and condemned to mine and going back to work would mean lower income...

Dh is police so finding an employer who’s flexible around shifts is bound to be difficult....

Recently since he’s been job I finding myself more and more inferior to him he’s working out in his he cheap gym in the aim of getting into the armed response...

I’m worried about him but I’m more worried about his change in attitude towards me...

He’s tying to gaslight me ... he knows I’ve been in this kind of relationship before - ie mentally abusive and he knows I’ve come out stronger ... I don’t get why he’s doing this when he knows I can see right though this power play is he stupid or what???

My question is re gaslighting... has anyone ever managed to head it off ?
