Ok have namechanged as this is

Have recently started dating again after my (very) long term relationship ended really badly last year. Has taken me a while to get to this stage, and am loving the attention and excitement at the moment. Never really dated before in my life.

Ok I have met this absolutely gorgeous bloke, who seems quite keen, and we call/text every day and meet a couple of times a week.

So what's the problem....

Well firstly - what do you 'call' someone who you're seeing. For example, he will text and say 'hi sexy, hi gorgeous, how are you today beautiful' etc etc

Anyway, what can I call him? Can I say 'hi sexy' back? Or can you not say that to a bloke?!
Hi handsome???? Sounds very naff and cheesy!!

What else???? Help!!

Ok while we're on the subject, he'll sometimes text and say 'I can't wait to see you and do xyz...' etc... which again is great and brings a little smile to my face!

But what sort of things can I say back?! I really don't want to sound cheesy or stupid, but I'm just not used to this and I want to be able to say things that will bring a smile to his face too!!

Now don't laugh! For someone who's never dated (and never dated a gorgeous bloke!) this is serious stuff

At my age I really shouldn't be worrying about this should I!!

I think texting back 'hey gorgeous' sounds lovely and will probably make his day.

NameForToday · 21/08/2007 09:41

I will do that today. That sounds ok doesn't it.

Thank you

I think most blokes would be flattered by Hi sexy, or anything complementary tbh. Don't worry about feeling cheesy/stupid, I'm sure he'll love it .

nailpolish · 21/08/2007 09:45

i say "hi handsome" all the time!
its not cheesy or naff
"hi gorgeous" and "hi sexy" is fine too
i oftne say "hi baby" too (only in texts/emails though, i dont really say it out loud face to face, dunno why)

when he says "wyz" is it sweet or x-rated?
(need a comparison ehre..)

NameForToday · 21/08/2007 09:45

I blush myself just at the thought of saying it though!

I'm rubbish aren't I!!

OP posts:

but if you didnt blush it would be dull and boring. there would be no 'rush' of excitement
cant have that now can we

NameForToday · 21/08/2007 09:46

np... sometimes sweet, like I'm going to run you a nice bubble bath and have got the massage oil ready etc etc ...

sometimes very x-rated rip your clothes off type stuff!!

OP posts:

ok well you could say something like
"oh god i just love your thighs. cant wait to squeeze and nibble them"

or

"oh i cant wait to stroke your MASSIVE cock"

(that one never fails. they love it)

or you could turn it around and say "oh i cant wait for you to do xyz to me"

NameForToday · 21/08/2007 09:53

pmsl np! fantastic!

OP posts:
nailpolish · 21/08/2007 09:54

LoveMyGirls · 21/08/2007 09:55

I've beenw ith my dp 5 yrs and still get excited when we txt each other naughty msg's through the day!

nailpolish · 21/08/2007 09:55

text him and say

"say something dirty"

he will spend ages thinking of something, then text it, he will be most impressed too

(you have started the ball rolling without actually having to think of anything rude to say)

nailpolish · 21/08/2007 09:57

whatever you do DONT send him a photo of your tits
thats just totally naff tastic

NameForToday · 21/08/2007 09:58

Good idea np! I like your way of thinking!

LMG - I love everything he does!! I will try and think of something specific that's not too cringeworthy and start the ball rolling that way...

Mine today would be love it when you bring me a cuppa in bed! lol

Tranquila · 21/08/2007 10:09

ahhhhh, this is so sweet!

re; the feeling daft and cringing at saying things... its like anything, it gets easier in time.

and remember, if you ever say anything which comes out your mouth and sounds really blinkin stupud, just play it off as a tongue in cheek laugh and camp it up a bit and that'll cover your tracks! (years of experience in being un utter dork, but giving occasional impression of 'cool')

NameForToday · 21/08/2007 10:34

lol Tranquila I like that idea! I'll have to have a couple of glasses of wine first too... that will help I'm sure!

LoveMyGirls, pmsl at cuppa in bed... that's more my style I think!!
