How can I?

Been separated a year now. Started dabbling in OLD about 5 months ago. Had a few dates and then a small fling with one person which was easy as he had his own place and my dcs were having weekend contact with their dad.
Last 3 months exdh has stopped having kids overnight (many reasons) and only sees then about 4 hours at a weekend and 2 hours in the week.
I've been talking to someone for the last few weeks. He's lovely and caring. We had a few dates and get in brill but I don't see how I can take it further when I've always got the kids.
Kids are 8/13/19. Older 2 wont care but I don't really want younger one seeing or meeting him which rules out him coming to mine and his living arrangements don't lean to going to his.

Surely the 19 year old can babysit?

NotSuchASmugMarriedNow1 · 22/11/2019 19:45

Yes why can't the 19 year old babysit?

Bonkerz · 22/11/2019 21:55

Yeah but where can we go lmao.
It's so annoying I don't get any child free time. His situation means his home isn't free and mines the same. I feel like a teenager thinking of going to dark woods in my car or booking travel lodges. How the hell am I meant to have an adult relationship away fro children

Well, where did you go on your other dates? Could you go somewhere similar?

Or do you mean "where can we go to have sex?" Grin - in which case it's his place or a hotel or, depending how flexible you are, in your car Wink

Go anywhere and everywhere. Be adventurous. Enjoy yourself! Don't think about where to go just spend time with him anywhere untill you are both ready to introduce to the dcs. Don't be put off by lack of places to go get back into teenage mode and love it.

I get it, its hard when you have your kids most of the time. I would book a cheap hotel or something for one night. Lets face it, he might be awful and that might be the end of that anyway lol.
At the end of the day, you deserve a life and a relationship. Can your kids not go on sleepovers? other relatives?
Mine are 6 and 12 and the older one can go to a friends house for a sleepover if I need it, and a friend could have the younger one. luckily I have EOW free.
Is there no way your ex could start having them at least one night?

Why can't you go to his?
