Trying again

I started dating my ex last year. We were together for 5 months, but it was very casual & he eventually finished it saying he didn't want a relationship & just wanted to be friends. A few weeks later I found out he was seeing a woman who had been around our circle of friends whilst we'd been together.

I distanced myself as I was very hurt (if you'd seen her, you'd know why!) & he was acting very coldly towards me. We would briefly say hi when we saw each other but that was it.

A few months ago we saw each other at an event and I found out they had split. It was like I had the old him back & our friendship came back.
Over the last few weeks we've been speaking & saw each other at an event where he was my shadow for the evening, kept popping over to chat with me, seeming to seek me out, as we had a lot of other friends there he could go and speak to, but he kept coming back to me.

I'm not sure if I'm reading signals right or not with him, as part of me thinks he wants to try again, but I know he won't say anything as he is quite shy, or am I just thinking too much into it & seeing what I want to see, as I would get back together in a heartbeat. When I'm around him I really do feel like I found the other half of me.

In my experience going back to someone who ended a relationship (for whatever reason) usually never works out.
He may well be second guessing his decision - however, I would say that men usually let you know when they are interested.
Find someone who thinks your great, and wouldn't dream of ending things :-)

If he didn't want a serious relationship with you back then, I wouldn't hold out much hope that he does now. I'm thinking he's looking for an easy shag.
