Libido

I'm 58 and mine seems to have up sticks and left. Although I fancy my DP like mad, I just don't seem to be able to work up any enthusiasm for sex. It's ok once I get going but nothing like it used to be and gone are the days when I initiated it.

I take HRT and have tried adding testosterone but that didn't have any effect and just gave me whiskers on my chin! Has anyone used a homeopathic or alternative medicine that might give my libido a kick start?

Tbh, it wouldn't bother me if I never had sex again which I feel sad about.

I'm 49 and dread what you describe (no changes yet). Honestly, I'd see your GP!

@longblondeandblueeyes Make sure you enjoy it while you have it !

Poor you, OP, I am in the 3rd year of the menopause at the moment ...what joy🙄... and my libido left town on a fast bus, taking with it, my humour, common sense, nice figure and bloody libido!! I also couldn’t bear many scents and smells, any form of heating on, any gathering of people and was a real bundle of fun (not)
In utter despair, I went to my Docs, and after much faff, eventually got prescribed HRT patches which worked within 48hrs and made me feel human again! The dose had to be upped twice, and then I was put on Femoston pills - Crikey what a revelation!! I have my whole life back, including a galloping libido!!😂
Do keep trying HRT in all its varying forms, if you get the right one, it will transform your life! Good Luck to you, there is light at the end of the tunnel!

Well, I am certainly going to take any drugs I can get, when the time comes. Why wouldn't you? You take antibiotics for infections, paracetamol for headaches....please go and ask for some drugs help. Flowers
