Hey everyone,

I have a question, just seeing what the concensus is -

When two parents aren't together and have a child(ren) to raise, who do you turn to when you need overnight cover? The other parent or anyone you want? Who should it be?

I would ask the other parent first, unless there is a good reason not to.

Thank you Oakmaiden, my thoughts entirely.

I always ask my ex first and if he can't do it then I ask my mum. Ex always first though, it's his child after all.

Definitely ex first. I'm guessing yours hasn't done this?

We did...until recently when I requested a review of the amount of child support he was paying and I took it to CMS on the back of his refusal to entertain it. Now that his payments have increased, he doesn't want me to cover for him, unless no one else can :(

Well, that is pretty stupid of him, but what can you do? Not a lot.
